How to reduce the impact of temperature on the bearing?

In high temperature applications, it often shows that the bearing is in abnormal condition. At the same time, high temperature is also harmful to the lubricant of the bearing. The overheating of some bearings can be attributed to the lubricant of the bearing. If the bearing is operated at a temperature exceeding 125°C for a long time, the bearing life will be reduced. The reasons for the high temperature of the bearing include: insufficient lubrication or excessive lubrication, the lubricant contains impurities, the bearing is overloaded or damaged, insufficient assembly clearance, and high friction from the oil seal.

The temperature rise is prone to occur in the use of bearings under abnormal conditions. Whenever the bearing temperature rises, the first judge is that whether there is a misoperation. If the temperature does rise rapidly, pls handle as the follows.

 

1)Check the cooling water pressure, water flow and piping system are normal. If the water pressure is low, it may be that the filter is blocked and cannot be processed in time, it can be stopped for processing, and when it is confirmed that it can work, it can be put into use.

2)Check the oil pressure of the governor. If the oil pressure is low, the cooling water hydraulic valve may close.

3)Check whether the bearing is working with abnormal noise, and check whether the bearing swing is abnormal.

Take an oil sample to observe whether the oil color has changed,and test the oil to see if it has deteriorated. If the deterioration is confirmed, stop the machine and replace with new oil.

Check whether the oil level of the oil standard is normal. If it is abnormal, check whether the oil tank drain valve is closed tightly. If it is closed tightly, oil should be refilled. If the sealing rubber gasket is leaking oil, stop the machine for repair.

Whether it is measuring the bearing itself or other important parts, it is necessary to continuously monitor the bearing temperature. If the operating conditions remain unchanged, any temperature change can indicate that the bearing has failed.

The bearing temperature can be measured regularly with the help of a thermometer, such as a digital thermometer, which can accurately measure the bearing temperature and display the measurement unit based on Celsius ℃ or Fahrenheit. For important spindle bearings, the damage will directly cause the equipment to stop, so it is best to

install temperature sensors on these bearings.
