Interference fit of bearing outer ring


In the case of interference fit of the outer ring of the bearing, the premise of dismantling the bearing is that the diameter of the outer ring retaining shoulder should not be less than the required supporting diameter of the bearing. The drawing tool diagram shown below can be used to remove the outer ring.

 

If the shoulder diameter of the outer ring of some applications requires complete coverage, then the following two design solutions should be considered during the design phase:

 

• Two or three notches can be reserved on the steps of the bearing seat so that the puller claws have a point of impact for easy removal.

• Four threaded holes are designed on the back of the bearing seat to reach the bearing end face, which can be sealed with screw plug at ordinary times. When disassembling, replace them with long screws, and tighten the long screws to gradually eject the outer ring.

 

When the bearing is large or the amount of interference is large, the flexible coil induction heating method can also be used. Remove by heating the outer diameter of the box body. The outer surface of the box body should be regular and smooth to prevent local overheating. The center line of the box should be perpendicular to the ground, assisted by jacks if necessary.
